The Dooly County Board of Commissioners is comprised of five elected officials who represent districts throughout the county. Commissioners serve staggered six year terms and are entrusted with providing leadership, setting policy, and ensuring responsible stewardship of county resources.
The Board establishes policies that guide county government, adopts the annual budget, approves major expenditures, and provides oversight for county operations and services. Working together, the Commissioners identify both immediate priorities and long term goals that strengthen infrastructure, promote economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit Dooly County.
The Dooly County Board of Commissioners meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. Regular meetings are open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in the local government process.

Five commissioners, one from each district, elected by Dooly County residents to set policy, adopt the annual budget, and provide oversight of county government.
