Statement
A note from the Administrator
For Danielle Jefferson, leadership has always been about people.
Throughout her career — in the public and private sector, at the local, state, and federal level, and in domestic and international settings — one truth has remained constant: every decision ultimately impacts someone's life. That belief shapes her approach to leadership and continues to guide her work as County Administrator.
Danielle serves as the chief administrative officer for Dooly County, providing executive leadership for county government and carrying out the policies established by the Board of Commissioners. She oversees daily operations, works alongside department directors and employees, and is committed to ensuring county government serves every resident with professionalism, accountability, and care.
With more than 15 years of executive leadership experience, she brings practical experience, strategic judgment, and professional preparation to the role. She holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Transportation and Logistics Management, and is a Certified Public Manager.
“Government is more than policies, budgets, and programs. It is about people.”
It is the family waiting for clean roads after a storm. The small business owner hoping to grow. The parent who wants safe parks for their children. The employee who wants to know their work matters. The senior citizen who deserves to be treated with dignity. Those are the people behind every decision.
As County Administrator, Danielle is committed to leading with integrity, listening with humility, and serving with purpose — building a county government that earns the trust of its citizens, supports its employees, and leaves Dooly County stronger for future generations.
